The Rashid Centre currently has three classes for children whose disability is predominantly physical. These classes offer a holistic, integrated programme to children aged 3 - 11 years old. These programmes are based on the principles of Conductive Education which is an educational approach for children with motor disorders, aimed at teaching them to overcome their problems of movement with minimal dependence on specialized equipment or artificial aids of any kind. The Integrated Learning Groups focus on coordinating and integrating all aspects of learning, whether it be learning to move, learning to take care of them-selves, The core belief is that every child can learn to succeed and enjoy the rewards of an independent life and become an active and included member of their family and community. The students follow a regular mainstream curriculum of numeracy , literacy and science.Through these groups we are committed to preparing children with motor disorders for inclusion into mainstream education facilities within Dubai.
